Love language Valentine's gift ideas - give your partner what they really want

If you have ever read the book The 5 love languages by Dr. Gary Chapman then you know not all gifts are equal. Make this Valentine’s day special by giving your partner or loved one what they really want. First, you need to know what their love language is, there are five; Quality time, Touch, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, and Acts of service. Here are three ideas for each category:

Quality Time:

  1. Take your partner on a fun outing such as a hike, bike ride, or kayaking in your area.

  2. Book a romantic dinner cruise for two.

  3. A road trip or a weekend giveaway to a place you have not visited yet.

Touch:

  1. Book your loved one a massage or plan to give them one yourself.

  2. Take them to private couples dance class.

  3. Attend an intimacy workshop together.

Words of Affirmation:

  1. Handwrite a love letter for them and tell them 20 things you love about them and why

  2. Create a love song with your words via fiver

  3. Film yourself reciting a love poem, post it on your social media and tag your lover

Gifts:

  1. Gift them Chocolate covered strawberries or any other sweets your partner loves

  2. Flowers are a must on Valentine’s for Gift lovers, they can be cut or planted ones.

  3. Ask for their Amazon wishlist and surprise them with something they have been wanting.

Acts of service:

  1. Hire a professional cleaning service to get the house deep cleaned.

  2. Get a yard care service or mow the lawn yourself.

  3. Let them take a day or a week off from cooking and get a meal delivery service for the family or make breakfast for them.
